16. The only way a woman can guarantee her passage into Paradise is if her husband is happy with her when she dies

Principle number 16 of Basic Elements of Islam: The only way a woman can guarantee her passage into Paradise is if her husband is happy with her when she dies. When I read about this one, I thought, "Mohammad, you are a crafty one."

This idea obviously helps with the subjugation of women. It gives her a strong incentive to subordinate her wishes to her husband's, because while she might have a chance to get into Paradise if she's a good Muslim, the only way she can guarantee she will go to Paradise (and avoid eternal suffering in hell) is to make sure her husband is happy with her when she dies.

  1. ... wow what a deep subject ...

women have rights over men and men have rights over women, rather then looking at it from such a shallow point of view read more into the subject rather then taking one line out of context in order to suit your preconceived ideas. Sad person I feel sorry for you. Have a nice life.

And to answer the question, if a female is unmarried and died a good muslim then inshallah she will go to Paradise, that simple

  2. Mystal, why do you think women have fewer human rights in Muslim countries, according to human rights assessments, than anywhere else? And the more Muslim the countries (the closer they follow Sharia law) the worse the women's rights abuses? From within the ideology, it might be acceptable to a woman that she can't go out without being accompanied by a male relative or can't drive a car, but looking at it from the free world, it looks like a terrible repression of women, and it is certainly not something we want to embrace in the free world. This kind of repression of women is something the human race has been moving away from, sometimes struggling hard to attain it.
